Refunds & Returns 

Jewellery purchased online will be accepted for a refund or credit within 14 days of purchase and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt, packaging and all certification. This does not apply to any custom-built pieces or any items purchased in-store. Returns will be accepted subject to the item being returned in its original, unused, saleable condition. Refunds will not be given for special orders (custom-made), discounted, or altered merchandise.

Refunds will be provided for cash. Cheque and credit card purchases only. The reversal of cash or cheque purchases will be effected by means of an electronic fund transfer into the bank account from which the payment originated.

A copy of the customer ID/ passport, banking detail confirmation (cancelled cheque or letter from the bank, upper section of the bank statement, etc.) and the customer's signature on the refund are required before the refund is processed to safeguard both the interest and The Lanes Jewellery Co.

In the event of a cheque purchase, a refund will only be processed after 14 business days to take into account the bank clearing process. Reversal of credit card purchases will be affected in-store upon presentation of the original credit card used to make the payment. All reversals that proceed via a speed point are subject to the relevant bank's turnaround time for clearing the funds. Unfortunately, this is not within the control of The Lanes Jewellery Co. and all Queries must be escalated to the relevant bank.

Pierced Earring body jewellery is non-returnable for Hygiene and safety, unless faulty

Gift certificates and credit notes may be redeemed at The Lanes Jewellery Co.

The original certificate/credit note must be presented and may not be exchanged or refunded for cash.

All The Lanes Jewellery Co. credit notes have a 2 yr expiry date.

It is the receiver's (the person whose name is on the gift certificate/credit note)responsibility to redeem the value placed on the gift certificate /credit note.

The receiver of the Lanes Jewellery Co. Gift certificate /credit note is responsible for the safety and use of the credit note. The Lanes Jewellery Co. will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged gift certificates or credit notes. The original gift certificate/ credit note needs to be presented: defaced, altered, lost or stolen credit notes will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed.

Your legal rights are not affected.

Refunds & Returns 

Damage as a result of heavy wear is not guaranteed. This is usually indicated by dents or scratches on the Gold.

Custom-made jewellery and orders 

A 30% deposit is payable upfront for all orders. The date of completion is an estimate, and wherever possible, any unexpected delays will be communicated. The Lanes Jewellery Co. reserves the right to adjust the costs indicated on the sale order. Because these orders are made to your specification, all deposits are non-refundable in the event that the order is cancelled. 

Repairs

Any reference made to characteristics of the description of goods to be repaired shall be for identification purposes only & is in no way a guarantee of the quality or authenticity. Therefore, the state of completion is an estimate and wherever possible, any unexpected delays will be communicated. The Lanes Jewellery Co. reserves the right to adjust the cost indicated on the repair order. Goods not collected within 60 days may be sold to defray costs. Although all reasonable precautions are taken to prevent loss or damage, it remains the responsibility of the owner to have the goods insured; neither The Lanes Jewellery Co. nor any staff member will be liable for any loss suffered. The Lanes Jewellery Co. reserves the right to return the item if the pair is not viable. 

Quotations

Written quotations will be valid for 7 days from the date of issue.

Insurance

We strongly advise that you ensure your purchase prior to collection on all risk cover, which includes theft, damage, and the risk of a stone falling out, etc.

As all risk of ownership passes upon the collection of an item in store by you or your appointed agent.

General Terms

We offer a complimentary in-store jewellery cleaning service. We recommend that you take advantage of and have all settings inspected every 3 months. Warranties shall be null and void should any other jewellery store/ goldsmith repair or modify an item purchased from The Lanes Jewellery Co. Any dispute that may arise between you and The Lanes Jewellery Co. will be subject to UK laws. Customers who collect goods from our premises unconditionally agree and accept that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you at the time of collection by you or your appointed agent.  

The Lanes Jewellery Co. preferred methods of payment are cash or credit/ Debit card. Should you choose to pay, this may take up to 14 business days to clear.
